Les Belles Bouclettes’ New Pattern Line!

For some time now we have excitedly anticipated sharing our wonderful news with all our enthusiastic readers, and we are thrilled to be able to do so now!

A few months ago we began working on a new idea.  The basics took a while to get in place, but once it began moving it has progressed faster then we expected.
In July Les Belles Bouclettes posted a request on Ravelry.com, (a knit and crochet community website) asking for designers who might be interested in creating patterns with and for Belles Bouclettes’ yarns to please contact us.  In a surprisingly short period of time we had met and begun working with four fabulous ladies!  It will be our pleasure to introduce these fantastic designers to you over the next month.
Amelia - sport mohair

Amelia – sport mohair

Two are using Amelia (Les Belles Bouclettes’ 60/40 sports weight mohair/wool blend) yarn to design accessories.  One is creating a knit pattern and the other is designing a crochet pattern.
Prairie Crocus - sock yarn

Prairie Crocus – sock yarn

One lady is working with Prairie Crocus (Les Belles Bouclettes’ 60/20/20 fingering weight mohair/wool/nylon) yarn to create a knitting pattern for unisex socks in three sizes.
Swan's Down - Super Brushed

Swan’s Down – Super Brushed

The fourth knitwear designer (and the first we’ll be introducing to you) has designed a simply gorgeous scarf in Swan’s Down (Les Belles Bouclettes’ 75/25 super brushed mohair/wool blend) yarn.  This pattern is ready to be tested by knitters.  Once this important step is completed the pattern will be tech edited and  published in the very near future.
All of these patterns will be available both through Les Belles Bouclettes and directly from the designers on their Ravelry pages.  In addition Les Belles Bouclettes will also be offering kits and ready to wear garments made using these yarns and patterns.  This is an exciting and wonderful new adventure for us!  The terrific designers we have been lucky enough to find and work with are exceptional partners.  We hope they will be making more patterns using Les Belles Bouclettes’ yarns in the future.
Tomorrow it will be our pleasure to introduce all of you to Nataliya, and give you a sneak peak at her Winter Plumage Scarf!
