We’d like to take this season of joyous celebration and light renewed to thank all of you, our loyal readers who have discovered and subscribed to our blog.
It is hard to believe that at this time last year the concept of writing a blog had bearly been discussed. I was still contemplating (with a mixture of delight and horror) the idea of sending out semi regular newsletters. What was a mere thread of an idea rapidly spun itself into a long term long reaching project.
We know we have neglected From Goats To Soaps (and you) in the last couple of months, for which we apologize. Added to the usual extra work of preparing for and attending craft shows and keeping larger quantities of our products in stock, this year we also were setting up the pattern line we were so proud to share with you, first by introducing the designers who launched the line with their creations, and then by showing you the patterns and the garments that can be made with them.
From conceiving the designs to testing the patterns the background work has been very time consuming. Isabelle (who looks after all things technical on the website as well as the blog) was occupied dyeing as much yarn as she could manage, and sorting fleece for an unexpected urgent (and wonderful) extra shipment to the mill. (So yes, yarns will be coming back into stock starting in February!) And none of that takes into account the time and energy needed for the personal seasonal activities.
All of which is to say, rest assured, January and the New Year will see us posting again much more regularly. We look forward to sharing 2016 with you! Please feel free to reach out to us with suggestions, thoughts and ideas about things you would be interested in reading more about in the coming months. We look forward to meeting and introducing you to other crafters. If you know someone who does beautiful work, we’d be delighted if you would contact us with their information and we’ll be happy to get in touch with them. We think From Goats To Soaps is an opportunity to interact with the people who are interested in what we do, and what we make, so Any and all contributions you wish to offer are greatly appreciated.
We wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and hope that you have a happy celebration of this season of wonder and delight, one that gives you joyous memories and hope for the coming year!
From Grey Dove, Isabelle, and all the goats!(After all without them none of this would be possible!)
