For the first time, we’ll be at the Fibre Spirit Festival on Saturday, August 24th.
This event is open to the public from 10.00am to 4.30pm and is located at the Barrie Curling Club. General admission is $6 per person, and free parking is available.
This one day event is dedicated to yarn, fibre and all things related to knitting, crocheting, weaving, spinning, needle felting, and more; not to mention there will be also 2 fashion shows. This will be a really exciting day!!
“Filet Crochet is a combination of crochet stitches worked from a graph to create a design formed by filling in parts of a lattice or mesh background. Traditionally, this form of crochet has been done in fine cotton thread with a small hook size and mainly used for decorative home decor applications such as curtains, tablecloths, coasters, and mats.
This full length scarf has the versatility to be wrapped, tied, pinned or twisted and requires less than one skein of “Pauline”. By crocheting the simple diamond patterns with this thicker weight yarn, you will be highlighting the best of the mohair fibre and creating a subtle design to make this unique wrap a welcome addition to any wardrobe.”This pattern, charted and written out, is for all skill levels as far as you have some knowledge of basic crochet stitches.
Looking forward to meeting you this Saturday!
